Barn Wedding Venues in North Carolina

Please note: The information in this post is from 2013 and will not be updated.

Here is the 3rd and final section of Barn Venues I have contacted,  which are the venues in North Carolina. I am still receiving emails back from several of these venues and will update this page as the information comes in. Today I was really feeling exhausted from all of the venues I have contacted and thinking about all the other details I still need to plan out. Especially since most wedding planning websites show me as being “overdue” on nearly everything on my checklist – yikes! I guess that’s what happens when you have less than a year to plan a wedding, whoops.

If you are still looking for a rustic barn style wedding then check out some of the places below, maybe one of them will turn out to be your “perfect” venue.  Keep in mind that rates could change, most of these are based on fall 2013 dates, and you should reach out to the venues directly to see what options are available to you. I wanted to share this information as a guide for brides searching for the perfect barn venue for their rustic-chic wedding. Not to mention it makes me feel like all the time I spent searching for and contacting these places was well worth it : )

    • Hi Julie! We actually decided on a cabin wedding venue, which you can see here: http://upcycledtreasures.com/2013/04/rustic-chic-cabin-wedding-venue/

There are so many amazing barns and each has it’s own character but in NC Apple Hill Farms really stands out to me because the owner was so sweet and helpful 🙂 Fearington House is gorgeous and I love the village and gardens they also offer. I’d love to find out where you end up having your wedding 🙂

        Hello!

Had you ever looked at Claxton Farm? It’s in Weaverville, NC. My fiance and I are considering that venue, curious if you had looked at it or had any thoughts about it!

An absolute jewel hidden in the mountains of western NC is McGuire’s Millrace Farm. The venue is family owned and operated, and they are so nice!! The facility is gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. They seem to be very flexible and include alot in their packages, handling the work for you if you want them to. I encourage any bride looking for a rustic, yet elegant setting to check them out. I don’t know their pricing but I have been there for a friend’s wedding and was quite impressed. http://www.mcguiresmillracefarm.com , http://www.facebook.com/mcguiresmillracefarm

  • Hi,
I own Breezy Meadows Farm in Mooresville NC, We are a family owned and operated horse farm – that also does weddings and special events. I would like to know if I could be added to your list. Our pricing starts at $1900.00 and also includes directing of the rehearsal & wedding. We have a lot of items that we let people use for decorations – free of charge. Our barn can seat up to 300 people and it can be very elegant or rustic. I love the rustic elegance and using the chandeliers, ceiling drapes, and lights in our barn. We can do events year round. Thanks so much for your help in possibly adding us to your list.
    Thanks,
    Paula

Sherwood Forest in Brevard, NC (near Asheville) has an old pole barn that you can rent for $500. The barn is called the Robin Hood Barn – http://www.sherwoodforestnc.org/robin_hood_barn.html. They give you the keys from Friday afternoon through Sunday at noon. It is used, pretty much, only for weddings but it isn’t fancy. If you are looking to save money by decorating yourself then this might be the place for you. It is very rustic. They require you to clean up so that it looks like it did when you found it. Not a bad deal considering the price.

I Was married at Winmock at Kinderton in Winston Salem a few years ago. We fell in live with the loft and also that it across the street from tanglewood park and golf course. By now I am sure the landscaping has matured and it is even more beautiful
