California-Country Inspired Travel Trailer Renovation
Have you ever thought about buying land and staying in a camper while you build your home? This is something Eric and I dream of doing once we find that perfect mountain town calling our name. And that’s exactly what Brittany and her family are doing now!
This week we’re touring her renovated travel trailer that she shares with her husband of 15 years and their 4 kiddos.
California Country Travel Trailer Renovation
After selling their previous home, Brittany and her husband bought some land in the country, along with a camper they could live in. They then began renovating the camper, doing all of the projects themselves.
They also added 2 large storage bins to the property. One they use for holding items from their previous home, and the other is utilized as their laundry room but is also where they store additional clothing, a fridge, and food. This has made the transition much smoother for this family of 6 while they wait to build their home.
What kind of camper do you have?
We have a 28 foot travel trailer
How long did it take you to remodel?
We did the main remodel in about 2 weeks but we are still finishing up!
How much did you spend on the renovation?
Around 2,000.00
Here’s a before photo of the interior:

I would say painting and flooring, I feel Like those two made the biggest difference.

We did extend our backsplash to almost the full wall and it really makes a huge statement.

We love it all! We spend lots of time everywhere, that is one great thing about small spaces, it all gets lots of love!

I just love how they turned that dated media cabinet into a little corner desk! Pegboard is one of my favorite things ever!
Katie
Every time I see their corner desk I forget it’s inside an RV! And I agree, pegboards are amazing!

I love what you did for a kitchen table with storage. Did you build that yourself or purchase it? If you purchased it, could you tell me where?
We live FT in our 32 ft travel trailer and are beginning to want to redecorate. I would love to hear back from you.

I love the renovation and the clean style. Is the couch a sleeper/convertible,and if so, where did you purchase it?
Katie
I’m not sure if it’s a sleeper sofa, but believe she found it at Walmart.com – here’s her Instagram link if you want to reach out to her directly 🙂
