The Makers- Link Party Tuesday's 8am estThank you so much for stopping by The Makers Link Party! Did you have a good weekend? Eric and I actually celebrated our 1 year anniversary {woo-hoo!}, and it was so much fun to finally open up our time capsule guestbook and read all of the vintage postcards our guests had signed 🙂

We feel so blessed to have found each other and it’s amazing to think of how much we have grown together over the past 7 years. It’s also crazy to think we have only been married a year, yet at the same time feels like so much longer. If you wanna take a walk down memory lane with me you can check out my post all about our DIY wedding Here 🙂

We actually went up to the Smoky Mountains this past week and had such a great time, especially with being able to see the colors change for fall. Talk about breathtaking!

Oh and just out of curiosity… did anyone’s cake taste good after sitting in the freezer for a year? Ours…. not so much, haha.

Anyway, let’s get onto the party because we have some awesome features for you this week, and I can’t wait to see what you have been up to!

Our featured blogger is Marni from Haberdashery Fun. If you are at all into sewing, you have to get to her site and poke around.

PIN THIS PROJECT!

This reversible tote would make the perfect gift to myself or someone else and is a small enough project to use up some of my fabric stash!

I just spent over an hour clicking around Haberdashery Fun and I am so inspired I think it may be hard to sleep tonight! As someone who dreams of the day when I can sew like a pro, I am so ready to get my stuff out and get going! Seriously, even if you don’t sew, you will love looking at all of these amazing fabrics! Here are a few projects to get you started.

paper-straw-garland

Sara from Tell Love and Chocolate is one of my favorite blogs because she is always coming up with simple projects like this paper straw garland. I think I want this in my house year round!

I love crafting with my little lady and the idea of teaching her to sew someday makes me really excited so these DIY Beginning Sewing Cards for Kids from Kid’s Activities Blog are going to make a great first attempt at sewing and she is going to love it!

Geometric-2BAntler-2B1

Amy from Delineate Your Dwelling is like my graphic print soul mate! This Geometric Deer Antler Printable is perfect for fall and I love how she dressed it up with felt roses.

oat_muffin

We love muffins around here and so I’ve been taking the time to find and make more muffin recipes from scratch. They are so worth it! These Apple Banana Oat Muffins from This Silly Girl’s Life are going to make a great grab and go breakfast for those busy mornings we have.

Arrow-art-3

Making your own art is so much fun, not to mention budget friendly. How cool is this String Art Arrow Sign from Dwelling in Happiness?

  1. Happy Anniversary Katie! Cracking up about the cake comment. My husband and I ate ours when we got back from our honeymoon because everyone had warned us how gross it was after a year! We will have been married 23 years next May. Can’t believe it has been that long! May you have a long and wonderful life together! -K

    1. Haha, yeah we both had the tiniest of bites just we could say we did it, but I was wondering if anyone ever really eats an entire slice. We definitely should have eaten it after our honeymoon, I know we were thinking it, lol. That’s so awesome you’ve been married nearly 23 years!!!!!
