On The Front Porch Interview

Are you familiar with Porch? It’s a fantastical resource to find home decorating or remodeling inspiration, locate professionals to maintain or improve your home, and to get advice on any home-related projects. Basically it’s AH-MAZING and I’ll warn you that it can also be addicting.

Well, you can imagine how excited I was when Porch asked if they could interview me with some quirky questions. I’m sharing half of the On The Front Porch Interview responses here, but you will have to head over there to read the rest of them 🙂

If your life were a song, what would it be?

Better together by Jack Johnson. I <3 Jack Johnson.  Speaking of love… every day I am so grateful to have a husband that has supported me from day one. We truly are better together and I feel like anything is possible with him by my side. Yeah yeah, it may be cheesy, but it’s true 🙂

Pinterest or Facebook?

Pinterest. Not only is it filled with visual inspiration, but it can also be a great tool when it comes to project or content planning. I definitely take advantage of those secret boards!

If your walls could only be painted one color for the rest of your life, what would they be and why?

Warm White. I can be indecisive and am constantly rearranging furniture and décor, especially as the seasons change. Warm white would offer the perfect backdrop to do whatever I want with the décor, even if my style changes. Oh, the possibilities…

What are you exceptionally good at? (Permission to brag)

Seeing the beauty in the old, rusted and thrown out. I LOVE to Re-imagine or repurpose something someone else would consider trash. Projects that combine old with new are generally my favorites.

What’s the weirdest thing you’ve collected?

Can I call the random thrifted chairs in our garage {that I plan to eventually makeover} a collection?

I also think I’m beginning to have an obsession with collecting placemats because they can easily be transformed into accent pillows! Especially those at Target…

What’s a home trend you hope doesn’t exist in 100 years?

I think that as long as you love the space you are in that’s all that matters!

I absolutely love this quote by Albert Einstein, which is the reason most of us creative bloggers start this journey to begin with, “Creativity is contagious, pass it on.”
