I just wanted to pop in to give you a quick update on our RV renovation progress. Despite taking turns being sick this month we finally removed quite a bit of stuff from the motorhome.

Many bolts later, I’m happy to report that both the dinette booth and sofa have been removed. For good. Yay!

For those of you that are new here, we are currently in the midst of transforming our 2008 Tiffin Allegro Open Road 32LA into a rustic-modern motorhome.

RV Renovation Progress

When it comes to RV furniture it can sometimes be a pain to find exactly what you want, in the dimensions you need, the style you prefer, and most importantly, that is within your weight limits. For this reason, we will be building a custom media cabinet and sofa to replace the items we removed.

I’m super excited about our design plans, and I can’t wait to share them with you!

We also removed the passenger chair and microwave, which makes painting so much easier. And we have A LOT to paint.

Then as soon as the painting has commenced it will be time to add the new flooring, and that’s where you come in.

No, you don’t need to come over and help us install it {unless you want to, haha}, but I would LOVE to get your input on which option we go with! I wanted to wait until we have most everything painted so that you will have a better idea of the space.

We are just waiting for a couple of samples to come in, and then I’ll post a new survey with photos to get your vote. That should happen in the next 2-3 weeks 🙂

I could go on and on about how excited we are for the transformation of this beast, but instead, I’ll share this sneak peek of the two-toned cabinets in the kitchen.

I removed the ugly wallpaper border because we plan to put in the new backsplash soon, but at least you can get a sense of how the two-toned paint is coming along. I LOVE it! What do you think so far?

We just received our cabinet hardware for the kitchen, so we will be drilling the new holes and then painting them this weekend, woot-woot!

We have received a lot of questions from readers asking how we removed a lot of the furniture in the RV, so Eric will be sharing some of those easy tutorials starting next week.

Thant about sums it up for the RV Renovation Progress so far. Of course, if you have any questions about the RV or anything else feel free to reach out, we love hearing from you!
