Happy Friday AND it’s officially the first day of summer, woo-hoo! I can’t believe summer has arrived but am looking forward to spending some time outdoors this weekend, in addition to shopping for bridesmaids dresses- yay!
Here are 5 Inspiring DIY Projects that I have recently come across. Be sure to click on the link for the full post.
5 Inspiring DIY Projects
1. X Sofa Table Tutorial via Thrifty and Chic – We are in need of a new sofa table since I have shifted some things around in our home, and our sofa table is being used as a console table instead. This X sofa table is beautiful and Alicia’s tutorial seems easy enough to follow that I have to add it on our to-do list!
2. How to Make an Easy Pallet Sign (step-by-step tutorial) via Home Stories A-Z – We recently dissembled some pallets so that I can use the wood for various projects, one of which is a wood sign. This is a great tutorial that anyone can follow, and I just love the way Beth’s sign turned out. Plus the letters are not permanent so this can easily be changed up in the future, so clever!
3. Three Homemade Chalk Paint Recipes Revealed via Old things New – Patti shares her experience using 3 different recipes for homemade chalk paint. 2 of these are different from the recipe I use and I can’t wait to try them out!
4. DIY Hot Air Balloon via Sew Craft Create – I am obsessed with these freakin’ adorable hot air balloons Heidi made for her sister’s baby shower! I don’t have any kids and don’t have any baby showers to go to, but if I did I would make these!
5. Kitchen Remodel via French Country Cottage – This kitchen is absolutely gorgeous and you will be blown away by the before photos, not to mention the rest of Courtney’s french cottage home. LOVE those double chandeliers…
I hope you have been inspired to work on your own DIY project, big or small. Have a great weekend!
Thanks for the feature! I love your blog. So pretty!
Thanks Heidi!
Thanks for the feature Katie. The third chalk paint recipe I used is my absolute favorite! Blessings, Patti@OldThingsNew
I can’t wait to try it. I pinned this earlier in the week and it has been re-pinned so many times I can’t keep count!
Those hot air balloons are to die for. They would look awesome in a sewing room! I am also thinking they would look super cool in my laundry room. Ooo now I am all excited. =) Thanks for sharing!
What a great idea Felicia! I want a sewing room, or a laundry room large enough to put something fun like these in. Until then I guess a girl can dream…
