Anyone out there looking for some creative, wedding guest book ideas? If so you are in luck because today I am sharing 10 creative wedding guestbook ideas to help inspire you for your wedding day.
10 Creative Wedding Guestbook Ideas
1. Library Card Wedding Guest Book Via Etsy: BindingBee – I think this vintage library card guest book is so neat! It looks like the Etsy shop doesn’t have this available any longer, but you could always contact the owner, or make a DIY version yourself.
2. Jenga Wedding Guestbook via Ruffled – As a girl who enjoys game nights {only if I win, jk. Kinda, lol}, I think this is such a great idea. Not to mention that every time you play Jenga you will be reminded of your special day.
3. Quilt Wedding Guest Book via Green Wedding Shoes – This is another useful guest book idea that you can keep and cherish forever. A guest book that can also keep you warm, not a bad idea!
4. Wood Slab Wedding Guestbook – Source Unknown 🙁 From Pinterest – You have probably seen all sorts of slab wedding guestbooks and I’ve always liked the idea. What I love about this photo is that they actually bought teak wood and had their guest “burn” in their signatures with a dremel. You could even take it one step further and create a clock out of it so you can hang it on your wall.
5. Postcard Wedding Guestbook via Wedding in HD – This may just be one of my favorite ideas yet. you could set up vintage postcards for guest to write you a short note or advice and then have your parents mail out a postcard every month or so. Or you could even store them in a special box as a time capsule and open it up on your 1st (or 2nd, 5th, etc.) anniversary.
6. Stones Wedding Guestbook via The Knot – I am constantly inspired by nature so it’s no wonder I adore these little stones for guest to sign. Plus you could incorporate them into your home decor by placing them in a vase, or surrounding candles.
7. Polaroid Wedding Guest Book via The Frosted Petticoat – What a fun idea to have guest take goofy photos and sign them so you can have a more visual guestbook. Plus you could set up a small chalkboard sign for guest to write notes or advice on that they can use in the photos as well, along with quirky props.
8. Jigsaw Puzzle Wedding Guest Book via Etsy: BellaPuzzles – Here is another creative guest book idea that you could frame on your wall. Puzzles come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors so you could really make the puzzle as unique to you and your wedding as you would like.
9. Artwork Wedding Guestbook via Etsy: 1. Burlap Babe / 2. EmoTypo – You have probably seen these thumbprint guest books {1st photo} where guest can “leaf” their thumbprint to create a whimsical tree image that you can then hang up in your home. I love this concept, but if you are looking for an ink-less {aka less messy} alternative then you can always have guests sign a fun, colorful piece of artwork instead {shown in photo 2}. Plus there are sooooooo many colors and images for you to choose from.
10. Globe Wedding Guest Book via Mountain Modern Life – I made this painted globe to use as decoration on our wedding guestbook table, but what about having guest sign it as your guestbook? You could even paint an old globe with chalkboard paint for guests to sign, or use an old vintage map.
There are so many creative wedding guestbook ideas that it was hard for me to narrow it down to 10, but I hope you have found inspiration from some of these ideas.
Wanna know what we wound up using for our wedding guestbook? We had guests write on the back of vintage postcards and then toss them inside our “time capsule box”, which we will open on our 1 year anniversary. Can you guess which creative wedding guestbook ideas I was inspired by? haha. You can read more about it on my post, DIY Time Capsule Wedding Guestbook.
These ideas make me want to get married again! ha. Lovely roundup!
I wished I’ve had these before I got married.. Totally love the Jenga idea.. where they can be kept away easily and take out on a nostalgic noon for a game or 2..
Space-scarce, I used a digital guestbook instead but technology was not so great (No S pen back then..) for this “great” idea hence I’m pretty sure I’d have gotten all blessings if I used the old traditional way.. but I’d definitely recommend my marrying friends this site..
We had some handmade stuff too.. http://mrandmrs-ng.blogspot.sg/search/label/DIY
Katie! Every day I get visitors to my Bella Puzzles custom puzzle wedding guest book shop thanks to you. I’m grateful to you for featuring my puzzle guest books in this post. You’ve chosen some awesome guest book alternatives. XO, Lara
