Is this the Life You Imagined?

Are you as excited about 2015 as I am? Are there any projects or changes you’ve been wanting to implement, but just haven’t gotten the motivation to get ‘er done? Well now is the time my friends!

Not to get all sentimental on you but when I first started this blogging journey nearly 2 years ago I had no idea what it would turn into. The fact that I’m able to make a living doing what I love makes me wanna cry sometimes because growing up I was always preaching that you should do what you love, but fear kept me from taking my own advice. #iamthequeenofrunonsentences. It can be difficult at times not to compare your “beginning to someone else’s end”, but if you can let go of that then you truly can live the life you imagined, and life’s too short not to, amiright? Oh and if you feel like everything has already been done before, you need to watch this video.

Looking back at January it’s kinda crazy to see just how little I’ve posted, and yet how incredibly busy I’ve been. I sorta knew going into the month that my posts would slow down as I reflected on what my plans are for the new year, and attempt to clean up my office/studio to make it a functional space again. It somehow turned into a storage room filled with random boxes and crap these past few months, haha.

Have you been doing any organizing or cleaning this month? Organization does not come easily to me, but once I have a system in place it’s a lot easier for me to maintain. We are renting the house we are currently in and I sorta felt in limbo these past few months as far as working on new projects, or if I should get a head start on packing. We recently decided to extend the lease for another year and once that was decided I felt like I could finally move forward again. It was as though I had been holding my breath for a little too long, and I could finally exhale.

I used to love moving to a new city or home every year because it was like an adventure, but um yeah I’m over that and just want to be settled already. Can anyone else relate?

Is it strange to say that the first thing I thought of was how we would be spending 2 Christmas’s in this house? I haven’t spent 2 consecutive years in a house since I was living at home and that was a looooooooooooong time ago. Hopefully this time next year I’ll be talking about us moving into our first home together {fingers crossed!}.

Anyway, I’m excited to share my creative office/craft room reveal with you next week because it’s my favorite space EVER, and nearly everything was thrifted, upcycled or DIYed. It really feels like it’s a reflection of my personality, and I can’t help but feel inspired when I walk in there. The projects aren’t perfect but neither am I, so I’m okay with that.
