Do you ever have what you think is a brilliant idea, only it turns out to be an epic fail? It happens to be more than I’d like to admit.

So… as it turns out, pinning 200+ projects in one week wasn’t as easy as I thought. If you recall, last week I said I would PIN every project that was linked up, and I did. So I guess that wasn’t the “epic fail” part. The fail is the fact that I realized there is pretty much no way I can do that every single week, especially with the party growing. It’s the thought that counts, right? 🙂

I really did enjoy going through and pinning all of your fantastical projects, and if I could figure out a way to clone myself, or create more time in the day, I would definitely keep it up. I think the toughest part was trying to stay in line with “pinning etiquette”.

I don’t like to make promises I can’t keep, and the truth is… pinning every single project linked up here isn’t something I can do every week. So instead I will pin my favorite projects to my link party board, as well as to other group boards, and don’t forget we also have a Best of The Makers Group Board 🙂

I also wanted to say that for those of you that left comments or sent me emails in regards to my post about our dog, Bailey, thank you so much for your support! I am behind on responding back, but Eric and I did read every single one and your responses really helped me get through the week. I was really surprised by how many people could relate to our situation too. At this time we don’t know what the solution is, we are just taking it one day at a time.

This week’s featured post is this adorable Soleil Dress sewn by Toni of Sugar Tart Crafts.

PIN the top post here!

Toni is extremely talented and makes whole collections of super cute clothing for her kids. Right now, she is doing a collection called Indie Love made from patterns by independent designers, and she includes great reviews of all of the patterns (with 1-5 sequin difficulty ratings – love that!). Here’s a sample of some of Toni’s great work:

First up, Amy of Homey Oh My! has another fab no-sew project for us. I am crazy about the marble print fabric she used for her Sunglasses Pouch. There is something about the color of this DIY Ladder Shelf from Making It in the Mountains that just makes me swoon. Isn’t it just the perfect creamy pale mint green?

I love freebies, and these red, white, and blue Free Printable Papers from Elizabeth Joan Designs are the cutest. You have to see all the fun ways you can put these to use.

Amy from Club Narwhal linked up this amazing-looking Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork. I will take the whole spread, please.

And last but not least, The DIY Dreamer made these cute Painted Walking Sticks. I never knew I needed a walking stick until I saw these!
