Dan and Sam are a husband and wife team based out of Missouri that transform RVs into beautiful tiny homes. Today we’re taking a peek inside a travel trailer they transformed in only 4 weeks!

Not only did they build a fireplace wall from scratch(!), but I love how this renovation proves you don’t need to paint the kitchen cabinets to change the overall look and feel of your RV.

What inspired you to renovate RV’s?

Seeing others amazed that an RV can look and feel like a home. When we lived in our RV we would get so many comments and curious looks until we showed them the inside. They quickly followed up with “Well I would live in an RV if it looked like this!”

What made you choose this specific travel trailer to renovate?

This was our friends rig. They lived in it full time but recently bought a house. They asked if we would like to renovate it to sell. It was in such great condition and the perfect layout for full time families. And secretly I have a love for travel trailers. They are lighter weight, cheaper to purchase, and easier to tow with not needing a hitch to be installed in the bed of a truck.

Was this RV renovation inspired by anything specific?

Definitely by @arrowsandbow old home. Her neutral decor is my favorite. The black bold fireplace was inspired from a picture I found on Pinterest.

What was most challenging about this travel trailer renovation?

The wiring! We built the fireplace wall from scratch so rerouting the wiring was a learning lesson for sure!

What project made the most difference?

The fireplace AND the board and batten. The slide out makes it look like a home. Being inside you quickly forget you are in an RV.

What is your favorite piece of decor or splurge-worthy item that was incorporated into the interior?

This couch. We love Sofab furniture and the versatility of their products to the fact that the chaise portion of the couch can be switched to either side is helpful depending on the layout of the RV.
