Do you find yourself obsessing over sliding barn door designs and trying to figure out how to incorporate them into your own home?
It seems most renovated spaces these days include a sliding barn-style door in one way or another. And yet…I can’t seem to get enough.
Not only do these space-saving doors create the perfect backdrop to a room and offer a creative solution for hiding televisions, but they can add character to an otherwise boring laundry room or pantry. You can even add shelves, mirrors, or chalkboard paint to make them extra functional, especially when space is limited.
When we purchased the RV I was excited to finally have an opportunity to make our own rustic-modern sliding door. During my research I’ve continues to crush over the countless sliding door styles, designs, and materials, so I want to share some ideas with you as well. For more information about the door or interior project, be sure to click the link underneath the image.

Do you have or plan to add sliding barn door designs to your home or RV?
Beautiful images! I would love to,add some to our bedroom in our loft which currently doesn’t have a door. I can’t wait to see what you do in your RV.
I’ll take one of each! Great round up! Thanks for sharing!
Wow- so much amazing inspiration Katie!! I love it. I’ve long been looking for a spot we could use a barn door in our home and just haven’t found a convenient place yet. Darn it!
Obsessed with this!
Could you please tell me the paint color in the live edge door picture?!
Hi Erin, this isn’t from my house (I wish!), it’s from Cathleen Gouveia Design/Traditional Home – You may want to reach out to the designer, here’s her website: http://www.gouveiadesign.com/

Beutifoll!
We’ve recently put in a sliding barn door for our bathroom but we will need to get a larger door or do something else due to lack of privacy ( gap from door and wall). Any ideas?
Do you mean that the door doesn’t completely cover the opening? If so I would think making the door wider would help that or is there hardware you can change to make the door closer to the actual wall?
How well does your barn door slide with the eye hooks and metal rail instead of the typical roller setup?
Hey Lainie, it actually works really well. The eye hooks themselves don’t support all of the weight because the wheels on the bottom take a bit of the burden. In the beginning, it did squeak a little bit so we actually rubbed coconut oil on the copper pipe because we had it on hand, though you could use WD-40 or something similar, and it hasn’t squeaked or had any problem sliding since then. Anyway, I hope this helps.
Hi guys! I am in love with the sink s in the picture by Highline Partners. Half the sinks are sticking out. Can you please give me as much info as you can to purchase them. Or are they custom made? Would they be easy to make? Thank you so much!
Hi Denise,
I don’t know where you can purchase it but there’s a website link below the image that refers to the original image source, Highline Partners (I believe that photo is from the “High Andesite” project). I recommend reaching out to them directly. Hope that helps!
I’ll leave the link to their website below as well:
