I Hope everyone had a great weekend! We sent out our first batch of save the dates on Saturday and I figure we should wait to make sure they arrive safely before sending out the rest. Did anyone watch the new HGTV Design Star? I am so excited for the new season and now that season 3 of Game of Thrones is over, at least I have a new show to watch in its place.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any super cool furniture or craft makeovers to share today. The save the dates took up A LOT more time than I had anticipated, and I ran into some blunders which has delayed them being completed, and on top of that my hand was hurting which meant more breaks than usual. I could blame it on CRPS but it could also just be from all the sanding, roping, writing, typing and painting. On the bright side, I did pick up an awesome projector off craigslist this weekend and can’t wait to use it for wedding and furniture projects!
So, being that summer is just around the corner, and that I am a rope-aholic, I have decided to share 7 DIY Rope projects I have completed instead. You can click on the link to get the full tutorial.
7 DIY Projects using Rope:
2. DIY Nautical Rope Lamp Shade
4. DIY Yarn Wrapped Vase – Okay, so this may not necessarily be rope, but it was wrapped up like it. Plus you could always use rope instead of yarn…and you know I will.
5. DIY French Cottage Tray with Jute Twine Handles
6. Love You to the Moon and Back Reclaimed Wood Sign – it’s hung by rope so that counts, right?
7. DIY Nautical Ship Wheel WreathI have more rope projects in the works so stay tuned…
That wrapped bottle-looks like a great project!

Thanks Jana! I wrapped a few more over the weekend – love the texture of the yarn.
