This post was originally written in 2016, back when black faucets and fixtures were hard to come by, not to mention most were expensive. Thankfully, many more options are now available in a variety of styles and price points! I’ve kept this list as it was because it still gives a great selection of options and will hopefully help you choose the type of design you prefer.
These days I find myself obsessing over a specific detail in every kitchen design I come across… the faucet. And despite my obsession with all things copper, I have been especially drawn to matte black kitchen faucet designs. I also love those that have vintage or industrial-inspired details that lend themselves to a more rustic feel with modern functionality. Who’s with me?
It wasn’t until we started planning the kitchen update in our RV that I even realized how many faucet designs and mounting options are available.
If you’re a fan of FixerUpper, you may recall this industrial style black kitchen faucet. It was on one of my favorite transformations where they restored a home that had been inherited from a grandfather and added some fun copper and southwest design details throughout.
I’m not sure if the faucet in this rustic Montana cabin from Dan Joseph Architects is black or oil-rubbed bronze, but I love the simple, modern design amongst the beautiful reclaimed details. Photo by Audrey Hall.
Don’t you just love the contrast this wall-mounted faucet brings to an otherwise neutral space? I think this one may actually be rubbed oil bronze, but I’m totally smitten over the dark color and vintage style.

Here’s a very similar style to the one above for those that are lucky enough to be located near an Ikea: GLITTRAN Black Kitchen faucet | Ikea (this is no longer available, but a similar one is available on Amazon here.
So what’s your take on black faucets? Yay or nay? Do you have a favorite from the list above?
