I know I haven’t posted much these past couple of weeks, but things have been extra hectic since we leave next Thursday to get ready for our North Carolina wedding.
I sorta decided last minute that I really wanted a fabric wedding bouquet, ya know because I don’t already have enough on my to do list. Here she is!
I will likely make a few more tweaks before the big day, but overall I’m pretty happy with it being my very first attempt at a DIY bouquet, and now I just need to finish putting together those for the bridesmaids. What do you think? I will be posting the tutorial after our wedding for any brides who are looking to create something similar.
In fact, I have been taking lots of photos so you betcha I will have lots of fun tutorials when we get back at the end of the month – furniture and wedding related!
Update: Here is what my finished bouquet looked like at our wedding:
The bouquet turned out gorgeous! I am so excited for your wedding and to see all the pictures come back 🙂
Thank you so much Naomi! It’s funny how I sorta decided last minute to make them, and boy does it take A LOT of patience! So worth it though 🙂
So beautiful and original. Your day is going to be beautiful! Thank you for the give away chance also.
Thank you Dawn, I certainly hop so – only 8 days away, eek!
The bouquet turned out just beautiful! I love the colors!! Looking forward to all your DIY projects!
Thank you Jennay 🙂 I will probably move a couple flowers around but I’m really proud of it 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!!

Welcome and good luck!
And the bonus is that you get to keep it!
Exactly! 🙂
I’m pretty sure you are going to have the prettiest wedding EVER! Love this idea cause you can keep it! (hope I win the moo-la) pinning and sharing friend!
Well, even if things don’t go as planned I have enjoyed working on the projects {Eric even helped cut some of the “flower petals” out!} and our day should at least feel personal and special 🙂 Good luck and I hope you are feeling better and ready for your trip to Hawaii!
Oh my goodness, that bouquet is stunning!! You should make and sell them! I contemplated a fabric bouquet for a while and then decided I wanted real flowers, but wow what a statement that will make!
Thank you Steph! Yeah, when I saw how much the fabric bouquets were selling for on Etsy I knew I would need to DIY my own. Making one wasn’t so bad- it’s making 6 total that has me feeling pretty wiped out! I now understand why they charge so much! lol. After the wedding I will definitely think about selling them in my Etsy shop or may even do a giveaway for one 🙂
EEEEK! I love it! 🙂
Your bouquet turned out so pretty! I love it!
Here’s hoping I finally get lucky! Love all of your posts…Paintng Away….Laura
