I know I haven’t posted much these past couple of weeks, but things have been extra hectic since we leave next Thursday to get ready for our North Carolina wedding.

I sorta decided last minute that I really wanted a fabric wedding bouquet, ya know because I don’t already have enough on my to do list. Here she is!

I will likely make a few more tweaks before the big day, but overall I’m pretty happy with it being my very first attempt at a DIY bouquet, and now I just need to finish putting together those for the bridesmaids. What do you think? I will be posting the tutorial after our wedding for any brides who are looking to create something similar.

In fact, I have been taking lots of photos so you betcha I will have lots of fun tutorials when we get back at the end of the month – furniture and wedding related!

Update: Here is what my finished bouquet looked like at our wedding:

  1. So beautiful and original. Your day is going to be beautiful! Thank you for the give away chance also.

    1. Well, even if things don’t go as planned I have enjoyed working on the projects {Eric even helped cut some of the “flower petals” out!} and our day should at least feel personal and special 🙂 Good luck and I hope you are feeling better and ready for your trip to Hawaii!

  2. Oh my goodness, that bouquet is stunning!! You should make and sell them! I contemplated a fabric bouquet for a while and then decided I wanted real flowers, but wow what a statement that will make!

    1. Thank you Steph! Yeah, when I saw how much the fabric bouquets were selling for on Etsy I knew I would need to DIY my own. Making one wasn’t so bad- it’s making 6 total that has me feeling pretty wiped out! I now understand why they charge so much! lol. After the wedding I will definitely think about selling them in my Etsy shop or may even do a giveaway for one 🙂

  3. Upcycled Treasures you have done a beautiful job on your wedding bouquet!! I have been doing all kinds of crafts with burlap (love burlap & white together) and I would love to put you and your friends “grab button” to represent your blogs ~ but can’t find it unless I over looked it. But yes, I pray that I entered your DIY Bouquet & $50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway ~ Right! Lol….

Please my blog is still in working mod. But, I sure would love for you and your friends come over and check it out ~ maybe give me ideas on representing my blog.
