With our cabin wedding being a mere 6 weeks away, I am up to my ears in wedding projects. Today I am sharing a quick post with a photo of the DIY boutonnieres we worked on over the weekend. We added a button to Eric’s (the groom) to make his a little different from the groomsmen and I just love how it turned out!

Since we are getting married in a different state, I figure it would be best to make as much as we can before the wedding, and although we will have real flowers, I plan to incorporate fabric and book page flowers as well to give the decor a more vintage and eclectic look. I figured the groomsmen could pull off the book page flowers {it’s going to look awesome with their suspenders!}, so why not make the boutonnieres now and check that project off my list?

These were made with items I already had on hand: burlap, twine, food coloring, acrylic paint, glue gun, {faux} eucalyptus berries, vintage lace, buttons (as seen on our DIY wedding invitations), wire, and book pages. What do you think?

  1. Love these!! I’m getting married in May and we’re doing the rustic theme as well. I’m planning on making the boutennieres also so these are great inspiration. Pretty sure I’ve already pinned a few of those!
