Ya’ll we have some super-duper exciting news that I just can’t contain any longer… no, I’m not pregnant. You’ll have to wait a bit longer for that one mom and dad :).
We’re rebranding our blog and Upcycled Treasures is getting a new name, Mountain Modern Life!
Rebranding our business is something we’ve been discussing for a while now, and we finally decided to make the jump and get ‘er done. So within the next couple of days, our name will officially be changed to Mountain Modern Life and I’m getting antsy!
Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Upcycled Treasures and it has certainly been an amazing journey with this name. The truth is, the name has started to make me feel a bit pigeonholed and I really want this blog to be about so much more than upcycling. Our business is ready to expand and so are we.
Although I love to upcycle, you may have noticed that it hasn’t been the main focus of this blog for a while now, which makes me feel guilty. The last thing I want is for you to come here expecting one thing, and leaving disappointed.
Now that my husband Eric has joined me full time in building our business, we have spent time to reassess our goals and future plans for this blog. I hope you will stick around while we are rebranding our blog!
Change is gonna come
If you’ve followed along then you probably already know how much we love the great outdoors, especially the mountains, and all things rustic-modern. We will also be moving into our RV full-time come March, where we will live for a year while we explore small mountain towns to call home. It’s going to be different and certainly a challenge, moving from 1700 square feet to about 300 but we are super excited for the opportunity.
Don’t worry, we will continue to share DIY projects, re-imagined finds, and other resources we think you will enjoy. We will also be sharing our RV renovation projects, interior design inspiration, and insight into our RV lifestyle and the places we visit.
In the future, we would love to buy some land in the mountains where we can take part in building our own home and learn how to live more self-sufficient. To us, the new blog name represents not only the design style we love and want to implement but a lifestyle we want to live and share with others. We hope to inspire you to live the life you’ve always imagined.
All of our content will still be found in one place, whew!
The good news is all the posts and content will remain here and all of the “old” links will automatically be re-directed to the post on the new domain.
There were days when all of the technical mumbo-jumbo made me wanna stuff my face with {vegan} pizza and take a nap…and I may have actually resulted in this on an occasion or two. But with the help and inspiration from a couple of blog buddies that recently made the leap in rebranding, Melissa from Polished Habitat and Corey from Hey There Home, I decided it was time to put on my big girl panties and figure it out. And that’s what I’ve been doing.
The goal was to be done rebranding our blog by November 1st, but it looks like it may actually happen within the next 24-48 hours, yay!
We really are so excited to be rebranding our blog and honestly just want to thank you for being a part of this. Your comments and emails are what keep us going and we wouldn’t be where we are without you. I hope you will continue to follow along and feel free to contact us with any questions!
